SHORA is pleased to announce our Pumpkin Parade in Thornlodge Park is BACK for 2022!
Please drop off pumpkins at the Woodchester entrance of Thornlodge Park from Noon until 5pm.
We are seeking volunteers from 2-3pm and 3:30-6:30pm. Lighting volunteers from 6:30-8:30pm and clean up volunteers from 8:30-9:30pm.
We are also in desperate need of wheelbarrows, particularly at clean up from 8:30-9:30pm.

This year ( 2020) SHORA is unable to host a pumpkin parade as usual. This year we are asking residents to place their carved pumpkins on the front yard facing the side walk. This way we can walk thru the neighborhood and see everyone's creative designs at a safe distance. Your pumpkin can then go in the green bin for pick up. Just remember to remove the candle.

SHORA's 3nd Annual Pumpkin Parade ~ Tuesday, November 1, 2016
Thornlodge Park was the place to be on November 1st! SHORA’s 3rd annual Pumpkin Parade was a resounding success, as over 500 incredible jack-o’-lanterns lined the park. Many kids enjoyed searching the pumpkins to find their own, while admiring the creativity and talent of the many carvings. Thank you to the many volunteers who helped set up, light up and clean up the pumpkins. Thank you to Dayana Hameed of Royal LePage Realty for sponsoring the hot chocolate treat, Mory Diab of the Sheridan Centre Tim Hortons location for the donation of Timbits and the Region of Peel who provided the bin for composting the pumpkins following the event.

Close to 500 pumpkins lit up the night in Thornlodge Park for SHORA's 2nd Annual Pumpkin Parade! 30 gallons of hot chocolate was consumed while over 1000 people came out to view the incredible display of Jack-o'-lanterns in the park. Many thanks to all the volunteers who helped make this event such a great success and to everyone who brought their pumpkins out for this remarkable evening! SHORA's 1st Annual Pumpkin Parade ~ November 1, 2014!
Our first annual Pumpkin Parade was a HUGE success! Nearly 300 pumpkins lined the path around the Peace Garden in Thornlodge Park, while nearly 400 people admired creative Jack-o'-Lanterns of all sizes. Hot chocolate was enjoyed by all. Many thanks to the volunteers who helped make this event a success! Also a huge thank you to Marcrest Productions for the fantastic photos! We are looking forward to next year's pumpkin parade, so mark your calendars for November 1, 2015!
